Berries can boost fluid intakes to help skin stay hydrated
Forget expensive lotions and potions! Water is one of the best beauty products you can get for glowing, hydrated skin that looks plump and feels smooth and soft. Even when we're mildly dehydrated, our skin can appear dry, saggy and lose some of its elasticity.
In fact, one of the easiest ways to tell whether or not we are dehydrated is to pinch the skin on the back of our hand and see how long it takes to return to its normal position - when we're dehydrated, it takes longer for the skin to recover. Staying hydrated is therefore one of the best things we can do for healthy looking skin.
Drinking plenty of fluids such as water regularly throughout the day will help us stay hydrated. But certain foods also contribute to our fluid intake. Berries contain around 85% - 90% water and so can make an important contribution to our fluid intakes.
